Denmark July 2025: Skoda Elroq #1, VW ID.Buzz #5
The VW ID.Buzz ranks inside the Danish Top 5 in July.
13,811 new cars hit Danish roads in July, a 19.9% year-on-year surge. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 5.6% to 103,365. The top four carmakers all outpace the market with surreal gains. Volkswagen is up 47.3% to 17.9% share at #1, followed by Skoda up 110.6%, BMW up 54.8% and Cupra up 384.3% to #4. Cupra scores its second best ever share at 7.8%, just below the 7.9% it hit last April. This is to be compared with just 27 sales (-82.7%) at #31 for Seat. Kia (+56.3%) is the only additional Top 10 member to beat the market at #8. Peugeot (+10%) and Mercedes (+9.9%) are in positive but Toyota (-28.4%) and Audi (-14.7%) are hit hard. New launch Navor, a brand selling DFSK models, ranks at #18 with 1.3% share, outselling such established brands as Dacia, MG, Nissan and Citroen.
Model-wise, the new Skoda Elroq is the overall best-seller for the 4th straight month with 7.3% of the market, cementing its YTD lead at 5.6% share. The VW ID.4 edges up 4.8% to #2, a ranking it also holds YTD. The new Kia EV3 is up 8 spots on June to land on the third step of the podium, by far its best ranking in the country, eclipsing its previous best of #8 reached last May. The Skoda Enyaq (+86.8%) and VW ID.Buzz (+5100%) ensure the Top 5 is 100% BEV. The VW T-Roc (+44.1%) is also in outstanding shape at #6, followed by the new Renault 5 at #7. The Cupra Leon (+5133.3%) is up 26 ranks to #9.
