Luxembourg May 2025: Mercedes (+46.3%) approaches VW (-5.7%), BMW (-11.4%)

Mercedes sales are up 46.3% year-on-year in May.

4,059 new cars found a buyer in Luxembourg in May, a solid 5.5% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally edges up 1.6% to 21,093. Volkswagen (-5.7%) and BMW (-11.4%) continue to lead the brands ranking despite significant year-on-year drops. In contrast Mercedes (+46.3%) and to a lesser extent Audi (+17.6%) catch up. Skoda (+6.5%) evolves roughly like the market while Renault (-1%) disappoints. Peugeot (+67.3%) and Ford (+61.5%) are euphoric but not as much as Citroen (+259.1%) surging from #23 in April to #8 this month.
