Kazakhstan April 2025: Jetour (+114.8%), Chevrolet (+84.5%), Haval (+76.4%) highlight market up 35.4%

Kazakh new vehicle sales climb 35.4% year-on-year in April to 19,223 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 22.9% to 66,066. The Top 2 manufacturers both beat the galloping market: Hyundai is up 43.8% to 22.9% share and Chevrolet up 84.5% to 14.2%. Kia (+25.2%) is softer while Chery (+35.5%) matches the overall growth rate. Jetour (+114.8%) shoots up once again but drops one spot on March to #5. Haval (+76.4%) and Geely (+41.1%) also shine below. Further down, Skoda (+536.4%), Lada (+423.1%), Exeed (+334.1%), Kamaz (+136.4%) and Subaru (+105.9%) stand out. All in all, Chinese carmakers hold 38.9% of the Kazakh market and 39.1% YTD.

Model-wise, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+66%) surges ahead to confirm its first place ahead of the Hyundai Tucson (-12.3%) underperforming. Its cousin the Kia Sportage (+12.7%) stays at #3 while the new Hyundai Mufasa is inside the Top 5 for the third month running at #4. The Hyundai Elantra (+102.1%) and Santa Fe (+232.1%) follow, both in outstanding shape. The new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro leaps up 8 ranks on March to #7, with the Kia K5 (+503.7%), Haval M6 (+45.2%) and Geely Coolray (+88.9%) closing out the Top 10. Other successful new models include the Jetour X70FL (#11), Jetour X50 (#15), Jetour T2 (#29) and BYD Song Plus (#34).
