Croatia May 2025: Skoda Octavia back in charge, Ford Tourneo Courier up to #6
First Top 20 finish for the Ford Tourneo Courier in Croatia, directly up to #6.
New car sales in Croatia step up 3% year-on-year in May to 8,531 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 6.2% to 32,478. Volkswagen (-6.1%) reclaims the brands leadership for the first time since last January despite a year-on-year loss, reaching 13.9% share vs. 11.5% so far this year. Skoda (-6.1%) evolves exactly the same way and stays in 2nd place for the month and 1st place year-to-date. Opel (+33.3%) is strong at #3 as is last month’s leader Renault (+39.5%) at #4. Ford (+132.7%), BMW (+23%) and Suzuki (+11.4%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (-28.8%) freefalls but climbs back up to pole position ahead of the VW T-Cross (+9.8%) and a euphoric Opel Corsa (+163%). Leader in April, the Renault Clio (+70.7%) falls back to #4 but surges year-on-year. Same situation for the Renault Captur (+74.7%) at #5. The Ford Tourneo Courier spectacularly signs its first ever Top 20 finish in Croatia, landing directly at #6. The Opel Mokka (+190.1%), Suzuki Vitara (+30.5%) and Skoda Kamiq (+26.7%) all shine below. Notice also the Seat Ibiza up to #13.
