Thailand March 2025: BYD Sealion 6 just misses out on Top 10

The BYD Sealion 6 ends the month at #11.

52,643 new light vehicles hit Thai roads in March, leading to a year-to-date volume standing at 164,803. Toyota remains the dominant force in the market with 40.4% share vs. 39.5% so far this year. Honda holds onto the 2nd spot with 13.7% share while Isuzu rounds out the podium at 12.1% share. BYD is back up to a best-ever 4th place with 6% share, overtaking Mitsubishi and Ford. MG stays at #7 above GAC Aion, BMW and Mercedes.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux Revo remains the favourite with a strong 11.3% share, well above its archenemy the Isuzu D-Max at 9.4%. The Toyota Yaris Ativ ensures the podium is unchanged on last month, with the Toyota Yaris Cross and Honda City in tow. Honda also places the HR-V at #6 ahead of the Isuzu MU-X. Toyota completes the Top 10 with the Hiace, Corolla Cross and Fortuner. The BYD Sealion 6 surges 56 spots on February to land at #11, it ranks #29 year-to-date. BYD also places the Sealion 7 at #15 (+39) and the Dolphin at #17 (+2).
