Kuwait Q1 2025: Toyota Land Cruiser up 81.4%, Jetour T2 up to #4
The Jetour T2 climbs to 4th position over Q1 in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti new vehicle market is up 5.5% year-on-year over Q1 to 35,394 units. As is the case in most countries in the region, Toyota (+12.3%) dominates head and shoulders with 28.9% share. Nissan (+0.6%) is more discreet at 10% ahead of Mitsubishi (+2.9%) and Ford (+6.7%). Jetour (+123.2%) surges to #8 overall vs. #13 a year ago, with Lexus (+4.6%) also in positive but trailing the market slightly. Hyundai (-16.2%), Chevrolet (-15.5%) and MG (-8.9%) are hit hard. Further down, GMC (+122.1%) and Suzuki (+46.1%) impress.
Model-wise, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+81.4%) widens the gap with the rest of the market with 8.7% share, distancing the Toyota Prado (+20.9%). The Nissan Sunny (+51.4%) is up six spots on a year ago to #3 but the best performer in the Top 10 is the Jetour T2, up 289.7% to #4. The Ford Territory (+5.2%) rounds out the Top 5, ahead of the Toyota Camry (-2.7%) and a freefalling Nissan Patrol (-37.2%). The Chevrolet Tahoe (+90%), Kia Sportage (+47.4%) and Nissan X-Trail (+47.2%) stun.
