Dacia is cheap and reliable, the ideal car for countries with extreme climates and conditions like Morocco. But the Sandero is also the best-selling car in Europe. A truly global car.
Regarding luxury car sales, it is curious how Lexus sells so little but the european luxury car brands that are expensive and unreliable (Bmw, Audi, etc.) sell so well. Good luck to the owners of these cars, because not only are they unreliable, but the parts are very expensive. Even here in Europe we have to wait a long time for parts and they are so expensive, I can only imagine what it will be like in Morocco. In my country people buy these cars for show off, to make the neighbors jealous, I don’t know if it’s the same in Morocco tho.
Japanese cars in general aren’t really appreciated in Morocco as they are in the rest of the world. And we Moroccans see German cars as the most reliable cars. Lexus figures are low since there is no one interested to buy it as a second hand car while German cars stay stable and high in Price, for example a used GOLF 4 from 2002 sells around 8000 euro in Morocco. So people who buy Honda and Lexus are just die hard lovers of those brands 😉 and from where are you?
Morocco is actually one of the few countries where Jaguar still sells a good amount of cars
Yes, it’s intersting sale. Land Rover has good position too. Relativly expensive cars.
Ford at the bottom. Strange.
Morroco and Maritania are countries with good reputation. My frend has been to Morocco with caravan many times. Beautyfull counry.
And all this while cars are 40% more expensive than in Europe.
Ford sold 350 cars (Transit & Ranger) but these are not counted with private sales. And the 9 cars must have been F350 or Kuga (the only two models that are available in Morocco).
And cars are really expensive compared with Europe, beside this official numbers there is very big market. The grey market of imported new cars from Germany. I saw that the grey market is 3x the amounts that you see here. Especially German and British brands
