Iraq Q1 2025: Kia places three models in Top 4, Hilux #1

Kia Sportage sales are up 121.1% year-on-year.

Excellent start of the year for the Iraqi new vehicle market with sales up 17.1% over Q1 to 44,621. Kia (+25.9%) reclaims the brands top spot off Toyota (-9.3%) which was #1 over Q1 2024. MG (+68%) advances to #3 ahead of Nissan (+309.9%!) up four spots to #4. In contrast Hyundai (-36.1%) collapses at #5. Jetour (+63.5%) ranks #6 as it did over the Full Year 2024. GMC (+188.1%) and Changan (+39.9%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+10.3%) holds onto the top spot above the Kia Frontier (+12.7%). The Sorento (+37.6%) and Sportage (+37.6%) make it three Kias in the Top 4. The Nissan Sunny reappears in the charts directly at #5 wit the MG 5 (+72.7%) and Toyota Land Cruiser (+19.6%) in tow. The Jetour T2 is up 2073.5% to #10 overall.
