United Arab Emirates January 2025: Nissan Patrol #1, Jetour up to #4 brand
The Nissan Patrol is the best-selling vehicle in the UAE in January.
New light vehicle sales in the United Arab Emirates advance by a solid 8.6% year-on-year in January to 24,770 units. Toyota (-4.6%) endures the only year-on-year drop among the Top 6 brands but remains the faraway leader with 23.7% share. Nissan (+7.9%) trails the market slightly and holds 16.2% share. Mitsubishi (+38.1%) soars ahead but it’s Jetour (+212.1%) that posts the most significant uptick near the top of the market, climbing to #4 overall vs. #10 over the Full Year 2024. Ford (+21.7%) and MG (+12%) also shine below. The BMW/Mini Group now shares aggregate volumes, placing it to #10. Ram (+218.2%), Peugeot (+177.1%), Haval (+83.9%), Isuzu (+57.1%), Geely (+51.9%) and GMC (+46.8%) are among the best performers below.
Looking at the models ranking, the Nissan Patrol (+76%) surges ahead to stay in the pole position it held over the Full Year 2024. The Toyota Hilux (+50.2%) and Land Cruiser (+16.8%) also post very solid scores and complete the podium ahead of a sinking Nissan Sunny (-34.8%). The Jetour T2 (+1434.9%) repeats at an outstanding 5th place, distancing the Ford Territory (+37.1%), Land Rover Defender (+103.9%) and Nissan Kicks (+41.5%) all in great shape.
