Saudi Arabia February 2025: Hyundai Accent overall leader

The Hyundai Accent is the best-selling vehicle in Saudi Arabia in February.

72,388 new light vehicles hit Saudi Arabian roads in February, a fantastic 14% year-on-year uptick. This means the year-to-date tally is up 10.9% after two months to 140,311 units. Toyota (+15.5%) edges past the market growth to 26.2% share, distancing Hyundai (+20.6%) staying in 2nd place. Nissan (+35.1%) overtakes Kia (+8.9%) to secure the third step of the podium. Ford (+28.6%) advances one spot on last month to #5, with Isuzu (-0.6%) also up one rank to #6. They both pass Mazda (+74.5%) down two to #7 but still lodging the largest year-on-year lift in the Top 10. Once again it’s a difficult month for Chinese carmakers as Changan (-9.4%), Geely (-20.6%) and MG (-40.6%) all return negative results. In contrast Jetour shoots up 75.5% at #12.

Over in the models charts, the Hyundai Accent (+36.9%) soars to the pole position, and would be #1 even when adding Toyota Camry and Camry HEV sales which are counted separately. The Kia Pegas (+37.9%) is up four spots to #2 while the Nissan Sunny (+76%) is up 11 to #33. The Ford Taurus (+47.55) also shines as does the Toyota Camry (+19.2%). Leader last month and over the Full Year 2024, the Toyota Yaris Sedan (-34.7%) freefalls to #6 for the month. This means the Top 6 models are all sedans, an exception in a SUV-dominated global market. The Toyota Hilux (-17.8%) is the best of the rest but struggles, unlike the Hyundai Elantra (+34.1%) and most strikingly the Mazda6 (+339.2%). The Toyota Corolla (+7.3%) makes it 9 sedans in the Top 10.
