Finland February 2025: Volkswagen up 42.8%, Tesla down -48.7%

VW Tiguan sales are up 260.7% year-on-year in February.

Yet another negative month in Finland with new car sales off -10.9% year-on-year in February to 4,700 units. The year-to-date total is off -12% as a result to 10,363. Once again hit full frontal (-26.7%), Toyota however easily remains the most popular carmaker in the country with 15.6% share. In fact Audi (+5.7%) is the only gainer in the remainder of the Top 10. Polestar (+1200%) is euphoric at #12 with 3% share. Tesla falls -48.7%.

The Toyota Yaris Cross (-23.6%), although in freefall, signs a third ever monthly win after last July and August. The Toyota Yaris (-20.9%) is up four spots on last month to #2 while January’s leader the Nissan Qashqai (-8.6%) falls to #3 but remains #1 YTD. The Toyota RAV4 (+1.7%) resists at #4 with the Volvo XC60 (-2.7%) rounding out the Top 5 like last month. Outstanding performances by the VW Tiguan (+260.7%), ID.4 (+226.3%), Toyota bZ4x (+1480%) and Skoda Superb (+100%). The new Polestar 4 leaps up 13 ranks on January to a record 14th place.
