Pakistan January 2025: Market up 61.4%
The Suzuki Alto holds 29.6% of the Pakistani market in January.
According to data by local association PAMA, the Pakistani new light vehicle market rallies back up 61.4% year-on-year in January on a low year-ago base. Note not all manufacturers present in Pakistan are members of PAMA such as Kia, Changan and MG notably and therefore don’t appear in these statistics. Suzuki (+81.3%) improves its share to 48.5%, still below the one it held over the Full Year 2024 (51.4%). Toyota (+20.7%) is much weaker than the market as is Hyundai (+25.5%) whereas JAC (+79.5%), Honda (+65%) shine. Sazgar Haval is up 106.5% but this month’s figure includes December sales.
Model-wise, the Suzuki Alto (+68.9%) beats the overall growth rate to establish itself at 29.6% share followed by the Sazgar Haval H6 (+106.5%) which should still be on the podium when only accounting for January sales (estimated at 1,265). The Honda Civic (+64.4%) ranks #3 above the Suzuki Swift (+92%).
