Mauritius Full Year 2024: Suzuki surges ahead in record market

It’s another record – the third year in a row – for new vehicle sales in Mauritius, up by a fantastic 19.8% year-on-year to 17,124 units. Suzuki (+48.1%) surges ahead to tighten its grip further with 25.2% share, almost five percentage points above its 2023 level. Suzuki now sells more than double any other brand in the market, with Toyota (+16.9%) at 12.3% share. Kia (-9.1%) is in great difficulty but manages to stay in third place with 7.6% of the market vs. 10% a year ago. Nissan (+8.3%), Mazda (+17.3%) and Mitsubishi (+6.5%) also underperform while Hyundai (-8.8%), Mercedes (-8.7%) and BMW (-7.7%) sink. MG (+82.2%) is up five spots on 2023 to crack the Top 10 at #9.
