Liechtenstein Full Year 2024: Mercedes storms past Audi and VW to #1 spot

We continue on the list of tiny European country, now looking at Liechtenstein, located between Switzerland and Austria and home to 40,000 inhabitants. 1,564 new cars found a buyer here in 2024, a -1.6% year-on-year drop. We have big changes in the brands ranking. Mercedes (+22.8%) jumps from #4 in 2023 to #1 with 11.4% share. It distances Audi (-6%) staying at #2, Volkswagen (-22.6%) down two spots to #3 and BMW (-9.5%) down one to #4. The next four carmakers post splendid upticks. Toyota (+25.3%) remains at #5 ahead of Skoda (+22.4%), Volvo (+104.4%) and Land Rover (+28.9%) breaking into the Top 10 at #8. Porsche (+12.5%) stays at #10 while Cupra (+13.5%) is up to #11, well above Seat (#20). Tesla ranks #15.
