Ecuador Full Year 2024: Chevrolet celebrates 30 straight years at #1

It’s a difficult year for new vehicles sales in Ecuador, off a drastic -18.2% to 108,266 units. Chevrolet (-13.4%) improves its share to 18.4% and celebrates 30 consecutive years at #1. In fact the Top 5 brands are unchanged on 2023 but the next four brands all fall faster than the market. Kia (-23.6%) is #2, followed by Toyota (-30.3%), Hyundai (-27.8%) and Chery (-29.5%). Suzuki (+5.1%) goes against the grain and gains three spots to #6, displacing Renault (-24.4%). GWM (+3.3%) also shines at #8 whereas DFSK (-20%) and JAC (-34.3%) flounder.

Model-wise, the Chevrolet D-Max (+4.9%) continues to dominate, going against the negative market and  vastly improving its share from 6.4% to 8.3%. The Kia Soluto (-18.4%) follows the market and stays in 2nd place while the Chevrolet Groove surges 41.3% to go from #9 last year to the third step of the podium. The Kia Sonet (-10.6%) drops to #4 ahead of the Chevrolet Joy Black (-13.2%) up two spots to #5. The GWM Poer, Kia Sportage, DFSK Glory and Suzuki Swift also find their way into the Top 10.
