Saudi Arabia Full Year 2024: Toyota Yaris Sedan and Hyundai Accent on top, highest volume in 9 years

827,857 new light vehicles hit Saudi roads in 2024, a sturdy 6.6% year-on-year increase. This is the best annual result in nine years: since the 879,704 units of 2015. Toyota (+2%) easily keeps the lead of the brands ranking at 28.2% share vs. 29.5% last year. It is followed like in 2023 by Hyundai (+8.3%), Kia (+26.6%) and Nissan (-0.1%). Ford (+16.4%) overtakes Isuzu (-10.3%) to round out the Top 5 while Suzuki (+47.1%) lodges the strongest gain in the Top 10 and advances three spots on 2023 to #7 overall. Just outside the Top 10, MG (+65.9%) excels at #11 with Jetour (+406.9%) at #15 and Renault (+221.7%) at #18 also impressive.

Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris Sedan (+7.8%) keeps the lead with an improved 5.3% share, while the Hyundai Accent (+27.3%) surges to 2nd place with 4.8% of the market. The Toyota Camry (-15.5%) is relegated to third place, however when adding sales of the HEV variant now counted separately, the Camry ranks #1 overall with 5.6% share. The Hyundai Elantra (+0.9%) and Toyota Hilux (-12.3%) round out the Top 5 and exchange positions vs. 2023. Excellent showing by the Suzuki Swift Dzire (+23.9%) up four ranks to #6, as well as by the Kia Pegas (+28.6%) up three to #9.
