Qatar Full Year 2024: Toyota Land Cruiser leads, Jetour T2 lands directly in 2nd place

New car sales in Qatar advance 19.5% year-on-year in 2024 to 72,220 units. Toyota (+16.8%) continues to dominate the brands charts head and shoulders at 30.7% share, despite falling from 31.6% last year. Nissan (+33.6%) shoots up to 8.7% to remain in 2nd place. The event of the year is the stunning third place of Chinese fare Jetour, up to 8% share for the year. Jetour sells double any other Chinese carmaker in the country. Kia (+2.5%) stays at #4 but Lexus (-20.1%) falls two spots to #5. Geely (+79.8%) is the only additional Top 10 member to beat the market, and does it emphatically. 

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+25.4%) is the best-seller once again – and has been every single year since we started following Qatari sales in 2011. Smashing success for the Jetour T2 directly up to an overall 2nd place with 5.5% share. The Toyota Hilux (+17.6%) stays in third place above the Nissan Patrol (+71.5%) up three spots to #4. The Lexus LX (-24.5%) on the other hand is down three ranks to #5. Notice also the Geely Emgrand (+301.6%) up to #8 and the Toyota Fortuner (+111.1%) up to #10.
