New Caledonia (France) Full Year 2024: Toyota Hilux posts 4th straight victory in devastated market (-52.2%)

Social unrest has had a devastating impact on the New Caledonian new car market with sales imploding -52.2% to just 4,094. Toyota (-52.2%) matches the market to 20.6% share, followed by Renault (-51.4%) at 8.2%. Suzuki (-46.4%) edges up one spot to land on the third step of the podium, distancing Dacia (-23.8%) up five ranks to #4 and Peugeot (-55.4%) down two to #5. Honda (+433.3%) is the only gainer in the Top 20 at #18.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (-40.8%) lodges a 4th consecutive year on top with 9.4% share. The Dacia Duster (-7.6%) greatly limits its fall and surges six spots on last year to #2, followed by the Suzuki Swift (-47.5%) up one to #3. The Suzuki Jimny (-27.5%) advances 11 ranks to land at #4 ahead of the Ford Ranger (-67.2%) and Citroen Berlingo (-53.9%).
