Kazakhstan November 2024: Chevrolet Cobalt ultra dominant, Haval M6 up to record #3

After some delay we can share with you the latest available data about the Kazakh market. New vehicle sales in the country are up a sturdy 10.7% year-on-year in November to 20,984 units. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 2.5% to 179,628. Chevrolet (+4.1%) repeat at #1 with 21.1 share vs. 14.7% so far this year, dominating Hyundai (+6.3%) at 18.2% vs. 21.2%. Kia (-23%) stays in third place despite a hefty loss. It distances Chery (+24.4%), Haval (+89.4%) and JAC (+17.5%) all beating the market. Geely (+116.4%) and Changan (+100%) do even better at #8 and #9 respectively, with Jetour (+48.9%) brilliantly rounding out the Top 10. As a whole, Chinese manufacturers hold 39% of the market this month.
Model-wise, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+42.9%) continues to evolve at stratospheric heights with 19.8% share vs. 27.3% in October and 12.4% year-to-date. It has reclaimed the YTD leadership off the Hyundai Tucson (+72.7%), despite the latter signing a fantastic year-on-year lift in November. The Haval M6 (+83.1%) ascends to the podium for the first time at #3, its previous best being #4 reached last May. The Hyundai Elantra (+50%) is also in great shape at #4. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max is up four spots on last month to #4 and the Tiggo 4 Pro is up 10 to #6. The Hyundai Sonata (+182.2%) and Changan CS55 Plus (+57.4%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.
