United Arab Emirates November 2024: Nissan Patrol surges to top spot

The Nissan Patrol is the best-selling vehicle in UAE in November.

The Emirati new car market is up a splendid 18.7% year-on-yea in November to 29,101 registrations. This brings the year-to-date tally up 11.6% to 281,287. Toyota (-2.5%) is the only Top 13 member in negative but still dominates the brands charts at 24% share. Nissan (+41.7%) is in outstanding shape at 18.8% share, two percentage points above its YTD level. Mitsubishi (+26.9%) and MG (+80.3%) also beat the market below while Hyundai (+12.1%) is more measured and rounds out the Top 5. Tesla is up 10 spots on last month to #6 withe 3.9% of the market. The rest of the Top 10 all outpace the market with Geely up 53%, Kia up 39.9%, Suzuki up 28.5% and Ford up 26.2%.

Model-wise, the Nissan Patrol (+121.3%) is the performer of the month, more than doubling its year-ago volume to reach 8.6% share vs. 5% so far this year. The Nissan Sunny (-5.9%) is relegated to 2nd place but remains in the YTD lead with a 700-unit gap over the Patrol. The Toyota Hilux (+16.3%) and Land Cruiser (+38.8%) follow like they did in October and YTD with the Tesla Model 3 hitting an excellent 5th place. The Chevrolet Captiva (+240.6%), Toyota Hiace (+20.7%) and Land Rover Defender (+20.1%) also shine.
