Turkiye November 2024: Record market, Ford, Volkswagen and Peugeot stand out
Ford sales are up 41.5% year-on-year in November.
New light vehicle sales in Turkiye advance 5.3% year-on-year to 121,094, a new record for the month. The year-to-date tally is now off -0.5% on the record pace of 2023 at 1,068,260. Fiat (-17.2%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date despite a steep year-on-year fall. Renault (-2.9%) is down to #2 and also in negative but the next four carmakers all outpace the market. Ford (+41.5%) fares best ahead of Volkswagen (+31.7%), Peugeot (+30.5%) and Opel (+6.9%). Local EV maker Togg (-4.1%) is back inside the Top 10 for the first time since last May. Further down, Tesla (+106.7%), Seat (+104.6%) and BMW (+77.7%) impress.
Over in the passenger cars models charts, the Fiat Egea Sedan (+8.5%) is back in charge with 6.8% share, toppling the Renault Clio (+7.1%). The Togg T10X (-4.1%) repeats at an excellent third place above the Renault Megane Sedan (-31.5%) and Toyota Corolla Sedan & Estate (-5.9%) both in difficulty. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max is back up 8 ranks on October to return to the 7th position it holds year-to-date. Notice also the strong performances of the Peugeot 408 (+137.7%), VW T-Cross (+107.9%), and Tesla Model Y (+106.7%).
