Thailand October 2024: Neta up to record #8
The new X pushes Neta to a record ranking in Thailand.
40,630 new light vehicles found a buyer in Thailand in October, compared to 43,568 in September. Toyota falls back to a still ultra dominant 41.9% share vs. 42.8% last month. Honda drops to 12.2% and ends the month just 36 sales above Isuzu. Mitsubishi stays at #4 ahead of Ford, BYD and MG meaning the Top 7 brands are unchanged on September. Neta stuns at #8 with 2.8% share vs. just 1.7% last month when it ranked #10. This is believed to be Neta’s highest ever ranking in Thailand (and in the world for that matter). As a reminder Neta assembles cars locally. Another impressive performer, Chinese also, is Ora up 8 spots on September to #13, distancing such established brands as Suzuki, Volvo and Hyundai.
Over in the models charts, this time the Top 5 is identical to September. The Toyota Hilux keeps the lead but see its market share thaw to 11.6% vs. 13.3% last month. The Isuzu D-Max follows at 9.1% with the Toyota Yaris Ativ, Yaris Cross and Honda City in tow. The Toyota Corolla Cross, Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Xpander all gain one spot month-on-month, taking advantage of the fall of the Honda HR-V down from #6 to #9. The Honda Civic is up 7 ranks to #14 while the BYD Dolphin is up 10 to #15. The Neta X lands directly at #20.
