Taiwan November 2024: CMC J Space lands directly inside Top 10

The CMC J Space is an instant blockbuster in Taiwan.

The Taiwanese new car market suffers in November at -10.1% year-on-year to 39,181 units, leading to a year-to-date volume off -4% to 416,528. Toyota (-11.1%) roughly matches the market to reach an excellent 30.4% share vs. 27.4% so far this year. Honda (-22.2%) is up two spots on last month to #2 despite a mediocre year-on-year evolution. Lexus (+5%) and most strikingly BMW (+74.4%) post market-defying year-on-year lifts. Mazda (+12.1%) and Hyundai (+.5%) are also up in the remainder of the Top 10. Tesla (+41.9%) also impresses at #12.

In the models charts, the Toyota Corolla Cross (+15.4%) continues to vastly dominate with 10.7% share, which is its 2nd best ever below the 13.4% it reached back in November 2020. Toyota monopolises the podium with the RAV4 (-12.7%) at #2 and Town Ace (-10.9%) in tow. The Honda CR-V (-30.9%) and Toyota Yaris Cross (-19.3%) both struggle to round out the Top 5. The Lexus NX (+17.1%) is the only additional Top 10 model in positive. The event of the month is the arrival directly in 8th place of the new CMC J Space with 1.7% share, a great design improvement on the Veryca.
