Saudi Arabia November 2024: Hyundai Elantra takes charge
The Hyundai Elantra is the best-selling vehicle in Saudi Arabia in November.
New car sales in Saudi Arabia edge up 3% year-on-year in November to 78,720 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 6.7% too 729,110. The Top 5 brands all beat the market. Toyota gains 14.7% to 27.8% share, Hyundai is at +7.6% to 17.5% of the market, followed by Kia (+25.9%), Isuzu (+11.4%) and Ford (+9.6%). In contrast Nissan (-28%), Suzuki (-17.2%), Changan (-11.5%) and Mazda (-7.8%) are all in trouble in the remainder of the Top 10. Geely (+6.8%) is the only additional gainer. Further down, Renault (+126.8%), Honda (+53.2%) and Peugeot (+22.2%) stand out.
Over in the models charts, the Hyundai Elantra (+152.3%) takes charge with 5.4% share vs. 3.3% so far this year where it ranks #4. However adding sales of Camry and Camry HEV means the nameplate is up to #1 by a whisker. The Toyota Yaris Sedan (-16.4%) is relegated to 2nd place but is still solid at 4.9% share. Strong months for the Hyundai Accent (+4.2%) and Isuzu D-Max (+8.9%), the latter snapping the pick up pole position off a struggling Toyota Hilux (-33.5%). Excellent showings by the Kia Pegas (+126.9%), Sportage (+75.9%) and Ford Taurus (+28.6%) among the remaining Top 10 best-sellers. The Toyota Fortuner (+94%) and Hyundai Sonata (+91%) also shine below.
