Portugal November 2024: Volkswagen (+118%), Peugeot (+58.5%) stand out
The Peugeot 2008 is the best-selling vehicle in Portugal in November
16,400 new cars found a buyer in Portugal in November, a 4% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally is now up 3.6% to 189,533. Peugeot (+58.5%) lodges another outstanding year-on-year lift but keeps its market share below its YTD level at 9.6% vs. 10.2%. Dacia (+5.5%) is up three spots on October to #2 with 8.2% share, with Mercedes (-0.5%) staying at #3 and both Renault (+35.4%) and Volkswagen (+118%) manage fantastic gains. Nissan (+108.4%), Volvo (+24.4%) and Toyota (+21.3%) also shine below. Tesla is down -54.6%.
Model-wise, the Peugeot 2008 (+38.3%) reclaims the top spot for the first time since last July, but stays #2 year-to-date. The 2024 leader so far, the Dacia Sandero (-14%) is in difficulty but back up two ranks on last month to #2. #1 a year ago, the Tesla Model 3 slumps -57.8% year-on-year but rallies back up 25 spots on October to #3. The next 6 models all vastly outpace the market. The Nissan Juke (+806.8%) is the most dynamic follow by the Peugeot 208 (+105.4%), Dacia Duster (+82.2%), Renault Captur (+58.4%), Peugeot 308 (+55.7%) and Renault Clio (+26.3%).
