Poland November 2024: MG breaks into Top 15, Toyota Corolla ultra dominant, sales up 18.4%
The Toyota Corolla sells 2.7 times the amount of the #2.
It’s another very satisfying month for new car sales in Poland: up 18.4% year-on-year to 48,109. Again this is all the more impressive given November 2023 was already up 21.2% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is now up 14.7% to 485,138. Toyota (+25.8%) beats the surging market to tighten its lead in the brands ranking with 20.1% share vs. 18.9% so far this year. Skoda (+7.5%) is a lot more shy in 2nd place with 11.1% share, while Volkswagen (+42.3%) shoots up at #3. Renault (+90.3%) and Dacia (+53.5%) both impress, with the latter up to 4.8% share vs. 3.6% year-to-date. Mercedes (+16.8%) and BMW (+10.6%) are also up but below the market growth rate. MG breaks into the Top 15 for the first time at #15 with 1.9% share.
Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (+44.7%) shoots up to an ultra-dominant 8.6% share, that’s a whopping 2.7 time the #2, the Skoda Octavia (+6%). This is the Corolla’s highest market share since the 9.1% it hit back in August 2023. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+31.9%) and C-HR (+25.9%) both beat the market whereas the Hyundai Tucson (+10.7%) is more muted and rounds out the Top 5. The Renault Captur (+393.4%), VW T-Roc (+197.1%), Toyota Yaris (+139.4%) and Dacia Duster (+72.3%) all post surreal gains in the remainder of the Top 10. The MG HS equals its highest ranking at #12.
