Slovenia October 2024: Skoda Octavia back in charge

The Skoda Octavia is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in October.

The Slovenian new car market surges 16.2% year-on-year in October to 4,509 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 7.7% to 45,514. The Top 3 carmakers all outpace the market with splendid gains: Volkswagen is up 43% to 15.5% share vs. 14.9% year-to-date, Skoda is up 22.5% to 12.9% vs. 10.4% and Renault is up 40.3%. Peugeot (+15.9%) and Toyota (+4.7%), weaker, round out the Top 5. Ford (+75.2%) is the most dynamic in the Top 10 at #8 while Dacia (+42.2%) also impresses at #6. Below, Fiat (+263.4%) goes against its current negative European trend with a stellar year-on-year uptick to #11.

The Skoda Octavia (+0.6%) reclaims the models top spot for the first time since last March with 3.7% share. It however remains #2 year-to-date below the Renault Clio (+177.8%), surging year-on-year. The Skoda Kodiaq (+108.8%) is up one spot on September to score third podium finish in the past 7 months, it ranks #5 year-to-date vs. #8 over the Full Year 2023. The Peugeot 2008 (+10.2%) is up 9 ranks on last month to #4 with the VW Golf (+165.7%) at #5 vs. #14 over the first 10 months of the year. The VW Touran (+476.5%) soars to #9 vs. #32 YTD, just as the Dacia Sandero (+136.4%) and Hyundai Tucson (+86.3%) also post fantastic gains.
