  1. Ford has fantastic results, helped by the general discounting. Peugeot as well. I saw the new Focus yesterday, here on the end of the world.
From 2025, companies will be able to reduce the tax base for luxury cars. This will support sales of cars over 80,000 Euro.
BEV’s share is 4%. Still strong demand for diesel. People are waiting for the new Škoda 2.0 TDI models for 5 months. They are hoping diesel won’t be more expensive because trucks need diesel. If the state taxes diesel, it will hurt the economy. We are talking about a market where is no taxation of any engine.

    For Bryan,
I pulled from the registry cars older than 20 years.
Many VWs and Opels. Opel had a golden 90s. Look at the Mazda, best JP brand, very popular brand in Germany in the 90s. Important to know, there were no VWs under communists until 1990. Communism is the most corrupt way of thinking. This is where cheap parts come into play. You can keep up VWs for many years for low costs. The others also have quality cars, but the repairs are no longer economical at a certain age.

    1. Škoda 761770
    2. Volkswagen 67643
    3. Opel 50969
    4. Ford 48357
    5. Renault 44748
    6. Peugeot 33759
    7. Fiat 24816
    8. Citroen 17490
    9. Seat 16114
    10. BMW 13486
    11. Audi 13800
    12. Mazda 9989
    13. Toyota 8141
    14. Nissan 8661
    15. Honda 7534
    16. Hyundai 7637
    17. Suzuki 7008
    18. Mercedes 6468
    19. Mitsubishi 4524
    20. Volvo 2601

    1. Hi Pavel. This list gives you which brands were the most popular in your country 20 years ago not the best brands. Skoda, Vw, Opel, Ford, Renault, Fiat or Peugeot are no better than Mercedes, Honda, Toyota or Volvo. That conclusion doesn’t make sense.

Asian brands only started to be really popular in Europe about 10 years ago (except for the British who have always liked Asians brands).

      Bur that’s an interesting list.

      1. Hi Bryan, partly it reflects market shares. Yes. But if you are on the register, you pay for insurance here. This means there is sence to own broken car.
Mercedes had problematic quality in the 90s. It was quite rusty and the excess of electronics wasn’t stable.
I also think the Japanese have had success, especially Nissan, MItsubishi, Honda were similar shares like Toyota. 10 years ago, you can already see the arrival of Hyundai – KIA and the decline of all JPs except Toyota.

      2. I am sorry but I think no one in the world believes that a VW, Fiat, Opel or Peugeot has more longevity than a Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Mercedes or Volvo. in fact it is exactly the opposite. And 90s Mercedes were much more reliable than today’s.
