Cyprus October 2024: Kia (+73.6%) places Sportage and Stonic on top
The Kia Sportage is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in October.
Data by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT show a Cyprus new car market off -13.9% year-on-year in October to 1,003 units. The year-to-date tally remains in positive however at +4.4% to 13,306. This month Kia (+73.6%) remains ultra dominant at 18.3% share vs. 10.8% for Toyota (-25.3%) in second place. Volkswagen (-8.3%) and Mercedes (-6.5%) manage to contain their fall somewhat while Nissan (-13.4%) roughly matches the market and gains 5 spots on September to #5. Jeep (+135.7%), Ford (+90%) and Land Rover (+55.6%) also impress.
Model-wise, the Kia Sportage (+507.7%) early takes the lead with 7.9% of the market, marking a third monthly win this year after January and March. Leader year-to-date, the Kia Stonic (+42.1%) is down to #2 for the month but still soars year-on-year. The Mini Countryman (-51.6%), #1 a year ago, is solid again at #3 ahead of the Toyota Yaris Cross (+47.6%) and Kia Picanto (+27.3%) both surging.
