Yemen January-September 2024: Toyota at 94.7% share, Land Cruiser catches up on Hilux
Toyota Land Cruiser sales are up 34.9% year-on-year in Yemen.
New car sales in Yemen are off -5.5% year-on-year over the first 9 months of 2024 top 6,472 units. Toyota (-4%) improves its share to 94.7% vs. 93.3% a year ago. No this is not a typo and by far Toyota’s highest market share anywhere in the world. The rest of the brands share crumbs: Lexus (-19.5%) is #2 with 1.6% share and Suzuki (+6.9%) #3 with 1.2%. Isuzu reappears in the charts at #4. Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (-13.5%) easily keeps the lead, but the Land Cruiser (+34.9%) is catching up. The Land Cruiser Pickup (-34.9%) is in freefall at #3 ahead of the Fortuner (+58%) and Prado (+16.7%).
