Slovenia September 2024: Renault Clio distant leader
The Renault Clio holds 6.7% of the Slovenian market in September.
The Slovenian new car market continues on its great run with a 10.1% year-on-year uptick in September to 4,461 units. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 6.9% to 41,006. Volkswagen (+67.5%) and Renault (+106.9%) both vastly outpace the market to top the brands charts with 15.6% and 12.7% share respectively. #1 a year ago, Skoda (-14.4%) falls to #3 this month but still manage a superior share than its YTD level at 10.9% vs. 10.1%. Toyota (-5.7%) is also in difficulty at #4. Dacia (+83.5%) is in outstanding shape at #6 with 5% share with Peugeot (+15.4%) also impressive at #5.
Model-wise, spectacularly 10 of the Top 11 models outrun the market. The Renault Clio (+473.1%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date ahead of the Skoda Octavia (-11%). Note the Clio sells more than double the Octavia’s figure. The Renault Captur (+110.8%), leader last month, is down to #3. The Skoda Kodiaq (+77.8%) and Peugeot 208 (+60.6%) round out the Top 5. The Dacia Sandero (+70.7%) is up 19 spots on August to #6 while the VW Golf (+115.2%) is up one to #7, the VW T-Cross (+193.8%) is up 10 to #7 and the Fiat 500 (+106.7%) is up 6 to #9.
