Slovakia September 2024: Skoda Fabia repeats at #1, Skoda Kodiaq and VW Tiguan surge
VW Tiguan sales are up 77.4% year-on-year.
6,521 new cars hit Slovak roads in September, a -4.9% year-on-year drop that tilts the year-to-date tally into negative territory at -0.3% to 67,589. Skoda (-0.5%) is stable and improves its share to 21.1% vs. 20.4% so far this year. Kia (+4%) is strong, repeating at #2 and now ranking #3 year-to-date. Toyota (-28.1%) struggles mightily at #3 but Volkswagen (+27.1%) surges ahead at #4. Audi (+40.6%), Opel (+22.8%) and Dacia (+5.3%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
The Skoda Fabia (+99.4%) soars to a clear victory at 5.1% share, yet it still ranks #2 year-to-date below the Skoda Octavia (-40.2%) freefalling to #6 this month. The Kia Ceed (+15.1%) repeats at #2 with 3.8% share vs. 3.3% so far this year while the Hyundai i30 (+0.4%) rounds out the podium as it does year-to-date. The Kia Sportage (+4.5%) is back up five spots on last month to #4, with the VW Tiguan (+77.4%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+84.6%) displaying great health in the remainder of the Top 10. The Skoda Karoq (+2.7%) is also in positive at #9.
