Poland September 2024: Ford (+69.6%), Lexus (+54.2%) stand out
The Ford Focus is inside the Polish Top 20 so far in 2024.
The Polish new car market is up a sturdy 6.1% year-on-year in September to 40,706 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 13.9% to 390,016. Toyota (-11.5%) is handicapped by a particularly good year-ago result but signs a solid 18.3% share, just below the 18.7% it holds year-to-date. Skoda (+7.4%) confirms its 2nd place with 11.6% of the market while Volkswagen (+25.5%) soars to #3 and 7.7% share vs. 6.4% so far this year. Below Kia (-0.6%) underperforming, Audi (+37.7%) is in excellent shape at #5. Ford (+69.6%), Lexus (+54.2%), Dacia (+31.2%) and BMW (+17.4%) all post stellar gains in the remainder of the Top 15 while Nissan and Peugeot make their appearance.
Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (-27.3%) freefalls year-on-year but easily keeps the lead with 4.8% share. It is followed by the Toyota C-HR (-7.7%) also down YoY but back up five spots on August to #2. The Skoda Octavia (-11.7%) is up three to #3 and the Toyota Yaris (+33.6%) is down one to #4 despite a fantastic year-on-year evolution. It’s a good month also for the Kia Sportage (+24.9%) and Hyundai Tucson (+15.4%). The Dacia Duster (+42.9%) and Skoda Kamiq (+15.6%) round out the Top 10 in solid fashion. Notice also the Audi Q5 (+98%), Renault Captur (+196.4%) and Lexus NX (+123.1%).
