Pakistan September 2024: Market up 23.9%

The Suzuki Alto holds 30.6% of the Pakistani market this month.

Sales of locally made new light vehicles gain 23.9% year-on-year in September to 10,297 units according to local association PAMA. The year-to-date tally is now up 44.2% to 91,957 on devastated year-ago results. Note Changan and Kia do not report sales figures to PAMA but are reported to be quite successful here. Suzuki (+18.4%) can’t quite catch up with the market and sees its share thaw to 48.7%. Toyota (+48.4%) is in great shape with 23% share ahead of Honda (-5.4%) in difficulty at 12.3%. Sazgar Haval (+174.7%) continues to surge at #4 whereas Hyundai (-8%) struggles. Model-wise, the Suzuki Alto (+23.3%) obviously keeps the lead with 30.6% share, with the Toyota Corolla (+51.1%) estimated to rank #2 ahead of the Sazgar Haval H6 (+174.7%) and Toyota Yaris (+46.1%).
