Russia August 2024: Jetour and Haval M6 break ranking records
Jetour is up to #7 in the Russian brands ranking in August.
148,338 new cars hit Russian roads in August, a 35.1% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date volume is now up 65.3% to 1,003,899. Lada (+34.3%) almost matches its home market to grab 26% share vs. 28% so far this year. Haval (+69.1%) breaks its monthly volume record for the 2nd month running and holds 12.5% share. For its part Chery (+23.4%) is at an all-time high volume for the third month in a row but loses share year-on-year to 11.2%. Geely (+73.1%) follows at #4 while Changan (+66.4%) also marks another monthly high for the third time running. Omoda (-22.1%) is in difficulty at #6 just as Jetour (+174.8%) reaches all time high ranking and volume. Newcomers Belgee and Jaecoo round out the Top 10.
Over in the models ranking, the Lada Granta (+17.4%) and Vesta (+120.1%) top the charts again but trail their YTD shares at 12.7% and 7.6% respectively. The next four models are Chinese and all deliver monthly volume records. The Haval Jolion is up 69.5% to #3, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max is up 31.4% to #4, the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is up 80% to #5 and the Changan CS55 Plus is up 197.6% to #6. Below a struggling Lada Niva Travel (-6.1%), the Haval M6 (+228.4%) breaks its ranking record at #8. The Lada Niva Legend (+14.1%) reappears inside the Top 10 at #10.
