Pakistan August 2024: Suzuki Bolan on podium, Dewan Kia launches

The Suzuki Bolan ranks #3 in Pakistan in August.

Local manufacturer association PAMA has the Pakistani new light vehicle market up 14.8% year-on-year in August to 8,699 units, keeping in mind August 2023 was a particularly low base. The year-to-date tally remains frankly in positive at 81,660 units, up 47.3% over the same period in 2023. Note Changan and Kia do not report sales figures to PAMA but are reported to be quite successful here.

Suzuki (-14.4%) goes against the positive market to see its share thaw to 42% vs. 49.7% year-to-date. In contrast, Sazgar Haval (+227.2%), Honda (+70.3%) and Toyota (+37.5%) are all euphoric. We welcome Dewan Kia in the charts, launching with the Shehzore pickup aka Kia K2700.

The Suzuki Alto (-26.9%) remains the dominant force in the models charts despite falling to “only” 23.3% share vs. 33.5% so far this year. The Sazgar Haval H6 (+227.2%) repeats at #2 while the Suzuki Bolan (+347.6%) surges to #3, its first podium finish since March 2023 (#3 also).

Previous month: Pakistan July 2024: Market up 68.7%, Sazgar Haval H6 up to #2

One year ago: Pakistan August 2023: Suzuki (+7.9%) reaches 56.3% share, slight sales improvement on last month
