Slovenia July 2024: Renault Clio clear leader, now #1 year-to-date
The Renault Clio holds 5.5% of the Slovenian market in July.
The Slovenian new car market surges 19.9% year-on-year in July to 4,529 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 5.7% to 32,867. 7 of the Top 8 brands shine with double-digit gains. Volkswagen (+28.9%) returns to #1 above Renault (+58.3%) with Skoda (+23.2%) and Peugeot (+15.2%) in tow. Kia (+34.3%) and Hyundai (+49%) follow while Audi (+49.3%) is up to #8. Dacia (+5.9%) is weaker and Toyota (-30.1%) and Citroen (-0.6%) fall. Newcomer Geely advances to #20 and Forthing is up to #22.
Model-wise, the four best-seller sign triple-digit year-on-year lifts. The Renault Clio (+191.8%) is #1 for the third time in the past four months and now also ranks #1 year-to-date. It has a two percentage point advantage over the #2, the Dacia Duster (+154%). The Renault Captur (+160.7%) and VW Tiguan (+146%) are below. Leader over the Full Year 2023, the Skoda Octavia (-16.8%) is relegated to #5 this month, this is still better than the #8 it fell to in June. The Fiat 500 (+1312.5%!), Hyundai Tucson (+96.2%), Skoda Kodiaq (+81.8%) and Renault Trafic (+69.1%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
