Morocco July 2024: BMW (+49.8%), Fiat (+34.8%) stand out in solid market
The Fiorino was the most popular Fiat in 2023.
14,219 new light vehicles hit Moroccan roads in July, a robust 8.4% year-on-year improvement. This includes Passenger Cars up 5.1% to 12,701 and Light Commercals shooting up 46.5% to 1,518. The YTD PC volume tilts into positive as a result at +0.5% to 86,749 units. Dacia (+3.6%) trails the market but still manages a positive year-on-year score at 22.5% share vs. 26% so far this year. Renault (-1.9%) and most strikingly Hyundai (-10.8%) can’t keep up with the market growth rate and complete the podium as it is also the case year-to-date. Peugeot (+2.5%) advances to #4, overtaking Volkswagen (+4.5%), and securing a splendid 8.1% share vs. 5.5% so far in 2024. BMW (+49.8%), Fiat (+34.8%), Opel (+25.4%) and Citroen (+18.1%) all impress in the remainder of the Top 10 with Porsche (+318.2%), MG (+291.3%) and Cupra (+93.8%) even stronger further down.
