Germany private sales July 2024: VW T-Roc #1, Cupra Born up

German private buyers bought 81,486 new cars in July, a 34.2% private sales ratio (PSR) and a 7.4% year-on-year improvement. The July 2023 PSR was 31.2%. Year-to-date, total private sales add up to 550,589 for a 32.2% PSR vs. 31.9% a year ago and a 5.2% year-on-year lift. The VW T-Roc at 46.2% PSR is the favourite both of the entire market and private buyers with a comfortable 1,500-unit lead over the #2, the Fiat Ducato at 74% PSR. The Dacia Sandero stays in third place with a stunning 87% PSR ahead of the Skoda Karoq at 56.3% and the Dacia Duster at 73.9%. The Cupra Born (74.9%) is up to #6 vs. #51 in the general ranking and #27 year-to-date. Other great performers include the Dacia Jogger (79.4%) at #12 and the Ford Kuga (48.9%) at #22.
