United Arab Emirates Q1 2024: Nissan Sunny and Patrol on top, local brand Rabdan lands

74,215 new vehicles were sold in the United Arab Emirates over the first quarter of 2024. Toyota dominates the brands charts with 24.8% share ahead of Nissan at 17.1%. Mitsubishi (7.6%), Hyundai (4%) and Ford (4%) complete the Top 5. MG is up to #7 and Mercedes appears at #10 now that it communicates its overall volume. Notice also Geely (#13), JAC (#16) and Tesla (#17) holding a spot inside the Top 20. Newcomer TANK ranks #31 while locally assembled EV brand Rabdan (meaning strength, courage and fearlessness in Arabic) makes its first appearance in the charts at #37.

Model-wise, the Nissan Sunny is the faraway leader with 5.8% share, with Nissan even managing a 1-2 as the Patrol takes the 2nd spot. The Toyota Hilux ranks third above the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Mercedes lineup. Excellent scores also for the Ford Territory at #7, the Nissan X-Trail at #8, the Mitsubishi Outlander at #9 and the Toyota Fortuner at #10. The Range Rover sports an outstanding 11th place. The Rabdan One (a rebadged Voyah Free crossover) appears at #158 and the Rabdan Seven (a rebadged Voyah Dreamer MPV) at #288.
