Slovenia April 2024: Renault Clio signs first win in 1.5 years
The Renault Clio is the best-selling vehicle in Slovenia in April.
New car sales in Slovenia step up 8.2% year-on-year in April to 4,694 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 5% to 18,687. Volkswagen (-5.6%) easily remains the most popular carmaker in the country despite a year-on-year loss, holding a 15.4% share vs. 13.4% so far this year. The Top 6 brands are unchanged on last month: Skoda (+19.6%) is above Renault (+3.5%), Toyota (+35.9%), Hyundai (+61.1%) and Peugeot (+42.6%). BMW (+19.1%) and Audi (+13.4%) also surpass the market growth in the remainder of the Top 10. Citroen (+39.6%), Mazda (+36.5%) and Suzuki (+25.9%) also shine below.
The Renault Clio (+70.8%) surges ahead to the models pole position for the first time since January 2023, it however remains #2 year-to-date below the Skoda Octavia (-13.5%), down to #2 for the month. The Skoda Kodiaq (+127.7%) ascends to #3, its first podium finish since August 2023. It distances the VW T-Cross (+77.5%) up 21 spots to #4 and the Toyota Yaris Cross (+10.9%) up five to #5. The Peugeot 208 (+162.9%), Skoda Kamiq (+94.7%) and Peugeot 2008 (+30.6%) also stand out among the top 10 models.
