Saudi Arabia April 2024: Toyota up to 31.1% share, Yaris Sedan and Camry on top

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is inside the Saudi Top 10 this month.

56,527 new vehicles found a buyer in Saudi Arabia in April, a -2.4% year-on-year drop. The year-to-date volume is up 4.2% to 250,811. Toyota edges up 0.7% to a fantastic 31.1% share vs. 27.6% so far this year, distancing a struggling Hyundai (-12.2%) at 15.9%. Kia (+10.3%) closes out the podium far below at 7.9% share. Ford (+7.8%) is strong at #4, followed by Changan (-26.9%) and Geely (-3.2%). MG (+1794.6%) shoots up at #8 with Suzuki (+32.4%) and Chevrolet (+18.5%) also excelling in the remainder of the Top 10.

Over in the models lane, the Toyota Yaris Sedan (+3.3%) remains in the lead with 6% share. The Hyundai Accent (+65.4%) follows at 4.6% of the market while the Toyota Camry (-36.3%) rounds out the podium. Note Camry and Camry HEV sales are now separated, which wasn’t the case in 2023. Total Camry sales for April 2024 amount to 3,461 which would award it the top spot ahead of the Yaris Sedan. The Hyundai Elantra (-14%) and Toyota Hilux (-11.%) both suffer just as the Kia Pegas (+9.8%), Toyota Corolla (+10.7%) and Suzuki Swift DZire (+9.7%) post robust scores. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser lands at #9.
