Slovakia November 2023: Skoda Octavia (+142.3%) and Kia Ceed (+81.8%) surge

The Skoda Octavia is the best-selling vehicle in Slovakia in November.

New car sales in Slovakia advance 4.5% year-on-year in November to 7,064 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now up 14.2% or 10,000 sales to 82,675. The Top 3 manufacturers all outrace the market with double digit gains. Skoda (+18.8%) leads the way as usual with 20.4% share, followed by Kia (+16.6%) and Toyota (+10.6%). Hyundai (-2.1%) and Volkswagen (-25.8%) disappoint below while Mercedes (+30%), BMW (+23.7%) and Dacia (+18.3%) shine. Peugeot (-23%) and Renault (-14.4%) are in serious trouble and round out the Top 10.

Model-wise, the Top 4 is identical to the year-to-date order, with the Skoda Octavia (+142.3%) up to 5.8% share vs. 5.1% year-to-date, the Kia Ceed (+81.8%) also shooting up at 4.7% share vs. 3.5% so far this year, the Hyundai i30 (+27.6%) at 4.4% vs. 3.3% and the #1 of a year ago, the Kia Sportage (-8.6%) in difficulty at #4. The Skoda Kamiq (+1.3%) rallies back up 8 spots on October to end the month at #5 ahead of the Toyota Corolla (+20.7%), Dacia Duster (+28.3%) and Toyota RAV4 (+36.4%) all in excellent shape.
