Morocco October 2023: Peugeot, Opel, Audi defy market down -2.2%
Peugeot sales are up 37.8% year-on-year in Morocco in October.
New light vehicle sales in Morocco edge down -2.2% year-on-year in October to 12,805 units. This includes 11,286 Passenger Cars (+0.1%) and 1,519 light commercials (-16.5%). The year-to-date tally is now down -1.4% to 117,362. Dacia (-18.9%) continues to skid, to 21.9% share this month vs. 23.4% year-to-date. Renault (-5.1%) also loses share year-on-year at 16.6% and is starting to get closer to Dacia, selling 598 units less vs. 713 in September. Peugeot (+37.8%) returns a splendid score and climbs to #3, dislodging Hyundai (-29.4%) in great difficulty. The next five carmakers all defy the market with double-digit gains: Audi (+67.6%), Opel (+40%), Kia (+34.3%), Citroen (+13.7%) and Volkswagen (+13.3%) all shine. Below, Jeep (+89.1%) stands out while newcomer MG progresses five spots on September to #18, its best ranking in Morocco so far.
