Poland September 2023: Toyota (+59.2%) places 6 nameplates in Top 9, market up 9%

Toyota holds 21.9% of the Polish market in September.

The Polish new car market advances 9% year-on-year in September to 38,366 sales, which means the year-to-date tally is now up 10.5% to 342,275. Toyota (+59.2%) is not only by far the best-selling brand with 21.9% share, it also the biggest gainer in the Top 12. Skoda (-8.8%) follows at a distance and is struggling, as Kia up a soft 2.3%. Volkswagen (+21.8%), Hyundai (+25.8%), Audi (+15.6%) and Mercedes (+24.9%) all score very solid results as do Mazda (+12.6%) and Peugeot (+40.6%) further down. Cupra (#13) and Suzuki (#14) continue to evolve above their year-to-date level with yet another Top 15 finish.

Over in the models ranking, Toyota places 6 nameplates in the Top 9: the Corolla (+62.9%) at #1, the C-HR (+333.1%) at #2, the Yaris Cross (+54.5%) at #5, the Yaris (-12.2%) at #6, the RAV4 (-3.5%) at #8 and the Corolla Cross (new) at #9. The Skoda Octavia (-26.9%) is in deep freefall but maintains itself at #3 both in September and year-to-date. The Kia Sportage (+19%) and Hyundai Tucson (+24.2%) deliver very satisfying results. The Cupra Formentor surges 134.5% year-on-year to score a 4th Top 10 finish in the past 5 months at #10.
