Israel July 2023: Toyota teases Hyundai for #1, sales up 7.1%

Toyota sales are up 41.5% year-on-year in July.

Thanks to our local partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today Israeli brands data for July – models data is a quarterly occurrence. Sales are up 7.1% year-on-year to 23,424 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 9.4% to 197,760. July 2022 was down -16.5% on the year prior so we are still evolving at weak levels. Hyundai (+9.6%) slightly outpaces the market but at 15.6% share it remains below its YTD level of 16.7%. Toyota (+41.5%) surges ahead and lurks only 39 sales below. In contrast Kia (-10.8%) and Skoda (-16.1%) struggle. Newcomer BYD is up one spot on June to #5, distancing Mitsubishi (+11.6%). Mazda (-41.8%) is in freefall at #7 above Chery down to 3.6% share vs. 4.6% year-to-date. Below, MG (+95.8%), Peugeot (+38.9%) and Volkswagen (+94.7%) stand out.
