Wales (UK) Full Year 2022: Ford Puma repeats at #1, two MGs in the Top 4

The Welsh new car market edges up 1% year-on-year in 2022 to 57,557 sales according to data by SMMT. Keep in mind overall UK sales figures have already been covered in our UK Full Year 2022 update. The Ford Puma (+17.4%) reinforces its stance at the best-seller in the nation with 3.4% share, over a percentage point above the Ford Kuga, entering the Top 10 directly at #2. MG manages to place two models inside the Top 4: the ZS (-7.8%) at #3 and the HS at #4, new to the Top 10. There’s a third MG model that will make waves in 2023: the new MG 4 already up to #8 in December. Other new entrants in the Top 10 are the Dacia Sandero at #7 and the Vauxhall Mokka at #9.
