Kazakhstan November 2022: Hyundai snaps lead in market up a robust 22.1%
The Hyundai Tucson holds 12.7% of the Kazakh market in November.
With a bit of delay we can share with you November data for Kazakhstan. New vehicle sales climb 22.1% year-on-year this month to 12,246, leading to a year-to-date tally up 2.9% to 109,990 units. Hyundai (+259.3%) spectacularly topples traditional leader Chevrolet (+39.4%) by just 49 units to claim the #1 spot with 25.9% share vs. 25.5% for Chevrolet. Kia (+86.9%) surges ahead year-on-year but stays in third place. Newcomer Chery (#4) breaks its volume and share records again as does sister brand Exeed (#7), also a newcomer. Haval (+23.4%) leaps up to #8, a new record and its second Top 10 finish of the year after January (#10).
Model-wise, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+90%) retains the top spot with 18.6% share above the Hyundai Tucson (+1606.6%) which sees its sales explode thanks to the new generation at 12.7% share. It also advances to #2 year-to-date, displacing the Chevrolet Nexia (+6.1%) which can’t quite match the market growth. The Hyundai Elantra (+213.9%) is back up 6 spots on last month to return to the 4th place it holds year-to-date. The Chery Tiggo 7Pro reaches a new high of #5 while among the recent launches the Chery Tiggo 8 ranks #10, the Hyundai Bayon #12, the Exeed VX #17 and the Haval Dargo #21.
