China LCV November 2022: Yuancheng in Top 10, market down -27%

Yuancheng aka Farizon is now a Top 10 brand in China.

In October new LCV sales in China sink -27% year-on-year to just 216,013 units, leading to a year-to-date tally off -21% to 2,523,115. Wuling (-47%) literally implodes year-on-year but easily remains on top with more than double the sales of #2 Foton (-18%). Changan (-7%) resists at #3 ahead of Dongfeng (-20%) making sure the Top 4 is identical to October. Maxus (-3%) is up one spot on last month to #5, overtaking Great Wall (-34%). Jinbei (-21%) gains share at #8 vs. #9 YTD. We have a newcomer in the Top 10: Yuancheng (+495%) aka Farizon. Model-wise, the Wuling Mini Truck (-52%) is the best-seller again but remains #2 year-to-date below the Foton Light Truck (-19%). The Wuling LCV shrinks its YTD gap with the Foton to just 6,500 units. The Changan Light Truck (-13%) rounds out the podium.
