Uruguay November 2022: Chevrolet (+20.9%), Fiat (+548.1%) top market up 19.7%

Chevrolet is the best-selling carmaker in Uruguay in November.

New light vehicle sales in Uruguay soar 19.7% year-on-year in November to 4,675 units, bringing the year-to-date tally up 7.1% to 47,505. Chevrolet (+20.9%) roughly matches the market to reclaim the top spot it holds year-to-date with 15.2% share vs. 14.1% through November. Fiat (+548.1%) catches up on a weak year-ago volume and is up three spots on October to #2, followed by Volkswagen (-8.9%), Renault (-9.1%) and Hyundai (-10.7%) all in difficulty. Note only 40 sales separate the #2 from the #5 brand. Citroen (+702.9%) doubles its YTD market share at 6% vs. 3% while Peugeot (+66.8%) and Toyota (+39.6%) also impress. BYD (+121.4%) slips out of the Top 10 but continues to surge year-on-year.
